Objectives of Leadership Training

  1. To provide knowledge to improve professionalism in the field of athletic administration.
  2. To develop a leadership pool for involvement in the NIAAA and member state athletic administrator associations.
  3. To help candidates prepare for the Certified Athletic Administrator exam.

Note: When registering for LTI courses listed below, please refer to the conference schedule under the schedule tab for any conflicts with previously assigned duties, i.e., workshops, committee meetings, etc. Refunds will not be given for schedule conflicts.

Leadership Training Conference Rules

Due to the demand for LTI courses, we have created guidelines for registration, including cancellation and course transfers.

  1.  To register for an LTI course, you must purchase a registration for the NCADA State Conference as an active member or active retiree.
  2. Only attendees that pre-registered for LTI courses will be admitted to the course. The registrants must be on the course roster to enter the meeting.
  3. To modify or change your LTI Courses, please re-enter the registration site like you did to register. Make any changes and go to the payment page. If your modifications create an outstanding balance, please pay the difference via credit card or mail a check.
  4. Please review your LTI course selections on your registration form to ensure you are enrolled in the correct LTI course(s).

Cancellations / Late Attendees / No-Shows

  1. Full credit/voucher will be issued for courses canceled before ordering materials (two weeks before the course date).  No Refunds are offered after the course materials are ordered.
  2. There will be no refunds for schedule conflicts. Please review the schedule before registering for a course.
  3. There will be no refunds for no-shows in LTI Courses.

Course Credit

  1. Credit for LTI courses: Upon course completion, attendees will receive instructions to take a course evaluation. Once the evaluation is complete and attendance has been verified, a credit will be applied to the attendee’s transcript in the NIAAA member portal. This will be done within ten days of the conference ending. You will also receive a “Certificate of Attendance” from the NCADA for each course you complete.
  2. Individuals who fail to attend a course or miss more than 15 minutes will not receive a refund or course credit.
  3. Manuals will not be given to those who do not attend the course.

Proof of Attendance

To verify course attendance, all attendees must be scanned into the course and scanned out at the end of the course using their name badges. You will not receive credit if you are not scanned in or out.

Acknowledgment of Course Completion

Upon verification of attendance in the course, an acknowledgment of course completion will be available for each course attended in the Professional Development section of the NIAAA member profile.
