We have learned that when we follow the path that makes a difference, by taking action with people who make a difference at a time that makes a difference, we change and influence lives and may change the world.

Leaders can and will be evaluated by the size of the problem they’re willing to tackle. The best leaders push beyond their comfort zones and challenge themselves to confront and remove the biggest obstacles in their pathway. Be the leader that your program needs you to be. Lead with clarity of purpose, inspire growth, influence change and create a sense of urgency. We must take responsibility for our current situation and use this opportunity to control the narrative and respond positively.

According to the author and speaker Jim Collins, “Transformation can only happen if you have transformational leaders.” True Transformation is the result of application and action, not the intention. As the leader of your education-based athletic program, if we want to see it, don’t talk, Act. Don’t say, show and go the way. Don’t promise, prove. We must lead our programs and support our leaders to seek solutions to emerging problems. Let your voice be heard, share your concerns by getting more involved, and submit your application to the  NCADA Board of Directors.
