NCADA Professional Development Academy Outreach

In line with our 2023-24 NCADA theme of “Forward Together,” an ongoing objective of the NCADA is to have every Athletic Administrator in North Carolina attain certification through the NIAAA Certification program, accredited by Cognia. As part of this endeavor, the NCADA (North Carolina Athletic Directors Association) in collaboration with the NIAAA (National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association) is delighted to extend an exclusive opportunity to North Carolina athletic administrators.

These individuals will receive three out of the five foundation courses required for the Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) designation, completely free of charge. The courses will be taught in person in Wake County on Wednesday, October 11 with additional follow-up required online after the completion of the in-person courses.

Participants in this program will receive the three courses and a year of membership free of charge.

LTC 501 Course and Materials ($125.00 Value)

LTC 502 Course and Materials ($125.00 Value)

LTC 503 Online Course (with a 60-day completion window) ($125.00 Value)

One-year NIAAA membership (for individuals not previously NIAAA members) ($125.00 Value)

After completion of the three courses in the outreach program, we ask that you commit to completing the two remaining courses required for certification; Legal Issues Courses: 504 and 506 within 12 months, submit your personal data form to the NIAAA to apply for the CAA exam, and successfully complete the exam once you meet the qualifications. Once you have successfully completed the exam, high school athletic directors may be eligible for reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses as part of the NCHSAA’s commitment to support our efforts to have all ADs certified.
